Join Dr. Geoffrey Leister, Extension Master Gardener Volunteer, as he discusses how you can plant your own rain garden. Rain gardens are a great way to combat flooding on your property and to reduce polluted stormwater runoff.

This presentation will focus on the benefits of pollinator friendly rain gardens, how they function and their design features. Since the Little Alamance Creek contributes stormwater run-off to the Cape Fear River Basin, any upstream filtration that would remove the ever present pollutes would be beneficial to all downstream communities. The talk will focus on the planning, the implementation process and planting of selected native plants in the speakers residential rain garden and in the recently installed Arbor Gate Rain Garden located at the Alamance County Center.

All are welcome to attend, but registration is required here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1g3_4t9qXeDWIfAy6gecN7MUi9Z2fped-RQk3_jakM04/viewform?edit_requested=true
